A sandy stretch of beach lines the Kasumi Lake. Paw prints are imprinted in the soft sand by generations of hounds that walk here. It is a popular spot as the mist clears away occasionally and the stars shine brightly, in fact, this is the best spot in the lands for star gazing. Although the fishing is not good as the shallows are too close to shore, many dogs bring their mates or lovers here to show them the stars and pledge eternal love

Perhaps the largest of the islands, Serenade Island is the one inhabited by birds. Birds of all kinds flock here during the spring to mate and to nest. A goose would make a good meal but in the heavy fog that hovers here particularly, who knows what else lurks in the shadows. Rumors tell of a lone wolf the hunts here, ready to kill, wound, and capture all that disturbs its peace

Hidden in the mist is the Yuudoku-kaori island, an apparent paradise. But by moonlight, mysterious plants bloom and the unsuspecting hounds, cats, or anything else living for that matter, will fall into a deep coma. The elders reason that the beautiful blooms seen on the island by day are the silent killers. The brightly colored and brilliantly shaped blossoms emit an intoxicating odor by night, odors powerful enough to kill... No cure has been found for these comas, at least not by a known healer. Legends tell of an aging she-wolf on the island who has managed to produce a counter to even the strongest poisons on the island. Many seek her but only the worthy survive the harsh conditions set by nature
